Creamy Pesto Pasta
Creamy pesto pasta, an easy weekday meal to get you through the week. Fulfilling and flavorful from the first bite to the last.

Ingredients
- 1 lb pasta cooked according to instructions
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Pesto
- 2 cups basil fresh
- 1/3 cup Parmesan grated
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 1/2 tbsp pine nuts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
Pesto
- In a food processor add in the basil, parmesan, garlic and pine nuts.
- Mix on low and drizzle in olive oil until combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Pasta
- Cook pasta according to instructions. Once cooked reserve 1 cup of pasta water and strain the rest.
- In a pan over medium heat add 1/4 cup of pesto and stir to lightly cook. Add in the heavy cream and stir until combined.
- Next add in Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste.
- Allow sauce to slightly thicken enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Add in the cooked pasta and stir to combine. Use the reserved pasta water to thin out sauce if need.
- Garnish with basil and more parmesan and serve immediately.
