Tender Marinade
- 2-3 lbs chicken tenders
- 1 pint buttermilk
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic grated
- 1 tbsp parsley dried
- 1 tbsp oregano dried
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Oil for frying
Whipped Hot Honey
- 2 cups honey
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Seasoned Flour
- 2 cups flour AP
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Assemble
Working in batches, add the marinaded tenders to the seasoned flour. Mix until each piece is fully coated.
Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before frying to let the coating adhere to the chicken pieces.
Get your oil to 350F and fry the tenders until they are golden brown and crispy. About 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 175F.
Once cooked, sprinkle with some flaky salt (optional), drizzle on the whipped hot honey and a dusting of dried parsley.
Enjoy!
